Our knowledge base includes research and data analysis of:

• characteristics and performance of tested varieties

• best practice for sustainable agriculture

• a record of traditional methods and knowledge of crop cultivation and farming practices, such as soil preparation and care, irrigation practices, crop cycles and more

Run collaborative projects

Working directly with farmers is what participatory development is about, and it is always a two-way process. Farmers across 7 districts of Uttar Pradesh are actively involved in the testing process with crop varieties by trialing the seeds within their plots and assisting in the analysis.

Test technology

Our research team test varieties of germplasm, crop production technologies, and seed production techniques.

We source plant varieties from local farmers within Northern India, collaborative institutions, from international sources and test them in collaboration with local farmers, on both their test plots as well as PRDF research plots. 

The research results are compiled in the Knowledge Base, and made accessible to the public.
